Capital Wealth Advisors is an independent J.P. Turner branch located in Marlton, N.J. 08.28.09: Bill Mello, president and co-founder of J.P. Turner, was recently interviewed for Battlefield to Business, a show devoted to promoting understanding how military principles can be applied to private business.  Bill, a Vietnam-era Marine, recounts life lessons learned during boot camp as a young recruit. His drill sergeant instilled an ethic of being the best and giving his all – regardless of the task – and pressing through adversity by taking motivation from the perseverance of his fellow leathernecks. In the article Al Pierantozzi, national sales manager, and Rod Kresge, chief compliance officer for J.P. Turner & Company Capital Management, LLC provide helpful information for reps who are advisors and brokers – “hybrids” --  considering a move to a new firm.

06.2009:The Atlanta Business Chronicle has named J.P. Turner & Company, LLC one of Atlanta’s Top 10 Brokerage Firms. The survey, which ranked firms by the number of brokers in Atlanta, was released on June 26 and positions J.P. Turner alongside industry leaders like Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, UBS Financial Services, Edward Jones and Raymond James Financial.

05.15.09: Scott Holcomb, general counsel for J.P. Turner, was recently interviewed for Battlefield to Business, a show devoted to promoting understanding how military principles can be applied to private business.  Scott began his legal career in 1998 with the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps, serving six years as Captain before entering the private sector. Scott discusses integrity, leadership and how his commanders reacted to a CNN report that he had authorized carrying weapons into the demilitarized zone on Iraq’s border.  Listen now >>

9.29.08: Scott Holcomb Named Top 40 Under 40 UConn Alumnus: Forty outstanding alumni, all under the age of 40, were recognized by the University during the weekend of Sept. 19-20.  The 40 alumni will be featured in the fall/winter edition of UConn Magazine, and were recognized during a halftime ceremony at the UConn-Baylor football game on Sept. 19.  M. 2.10.09: NSCP Announces Southern Regional Membership Meeting Faculty: The National Society of Compliance Professionals is pleased to announce that at its Southern Regional Meeting, Michael Isaac, chief compliance officer of J.P. Turner & Company, L.L.C. will be  moderating a workshop panel on “BD – Supervisory Responsibilities.” This workshop will discuss the delegation of supervisory duties, supervision of branch offices and producing managers, supervisory red flag review: follow up and documentation, and supervisory controls and certification. Mr. Isaac will be joined by panel member Scott N. Sherman of Alston and Bird, LLP.

12.30.08: J.P. Turner Raises More Than $10,000 for Atlanta Charity The Empty Stocking Fund: The state of the current economy is challenging. The country is in a recession and the unemployment rate continues to rise. For J.P. Turner & Company, LLC owners Tim McAfee and Bill Mello, this was all the more reason to give this past holiday season.
